Contest: This Halloween…Get Axed

With Halloween just a few days away many of you (like me) may be scrambling to find that last-minute costume that is both easy to put together and sharp enough to turn heads. As recent fan of the show, I figured the classic “Mad Men” look promises to be one of the hottest costumes this weekend.

To help you  pull together this last-minute costume, I’m teaming up with AXE Hair to offer some simple tips from Men’s Celebrity Hair Stylist and Grooming Expert Diana Schmidtke, who is working with AXE Hair.

The “Mad Men” costume is very easy to pull off.  Most guys probably have most of these items in their closet:

- Suit coat and Slacks (any color)
- White, collared, button-down shirt
- Dress shoes and belt to match (any color)
- Briefcase (you can also find this an a near-by thrift store)
- A shine pomade to create a sleek, classic hair style. Don’t forget the straight-as-an-arrow part!

  It’s funny – I have a great suit that I never have an excuse to wear. I’ve been thinking about a Halloween costume that I could use it for. I was thinking Reservoir Dogs, but Mad Men works too!
